🥣 Ingredients
🍞 Base
- 1 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 count)
- 4–5 tbsp butter, melted
🍬 Cinnamon filling
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1–1½ tbsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
🍯 Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk or cream
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: cream cheese (2–3 tbsp for richer frosting)
🔥 How to Make Them
1. Prep the rolls
Keep rolls attached. Slice them horizontally like a giant sandwich slab.
2. Butter + filling
Brush melted butter on inside surfaces.
Mix brown sugar + cinnamon + salt, then sprinkle evenly.
3. Reassemble + slice
Put top half back on.
Cut into individual mini rolls.
4. Bake
Place in a buttered dish.
- 180°C (350°F)
- Bake 12–15 minutes until warm and slightly crisp on top
5. Glaze
Mix icing ingredients until smooth.
Drizzle generously over warm rolls.
😋 What you get
- Super soft “melting” interior
- Sticky cinnamon-sugar swirl
- Slight caramelized edges
- Bakery-style icing soak-in effect
🔁 Variations (dangerously good)
- 🧀 Cream cheese frosting = cinnamon roll bakery style
- 🍌 Add banana slices before baking
- 🍫 Add mini chocolate chips for dessert version
- 🥜 Add crushed pecans for crunch
- 🍯 Drizzle honey butter instead of icing
⚡ Pro tip
Let them sit 5 minutes after icing—so the glaze sinks in slightly instead of just sitting on top.
If you want, I can also make:
- 🔥 air fryer Hawaiian roll cinnamon rolls (extra crispy edges)
- 🥶 overnight version for breakfast prep
- 🍦 or a cinnamon roll casserole using the same rolls (even more gooey)
