Ingredients
- 1.5–2 kg pork ribs
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp oil
Sauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 6–8 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp ketchup (optional, for richness)
- 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 tsp chili flakes or hot sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Instructions
1. Prep the Ribs
- Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).
- Remove membrane from ribs (for tenderness).
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Place on a baking tray and cover tightly with foil.
2. Slow Bake
- Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until meat is tender and pulling away from bone.
3. Make the Sticky Sauce
- In a pan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, vinegar, and chili.
- Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thick and glossy.
4. Glaze the Ribs
- Remove ribs from oven.
- Brush generously with sauce.
- Increase oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, brushing again halfway.

Tip
For extra sticky ribs, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end—but watch closely so the honey doesn’t burn.
