Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs Recipe –

Ingredients

  • 1.5–2 kg pork ribs
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp oil

Sauce

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 6–8 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (optional, for richness)
  • 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

Instructions

1. Prep the Ribs

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. Remove membrane from ribs (for tenderness).
  3. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  4. Place on a baking tray and cover tightly with foil.

2. Slow Bake

  • Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until meat is tender and pulling away from bone.

3. Make the Sticky Sauce

  1. In a pan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, vinegar, and chili.
  2. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thick and glossy.

4. Glaze the Ribs

  1. Remove ribs from oven.
  2. Brush generously with sauce.
  3. Increase oven to 220°C (425°F).
  4. Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes, brushing again halfway.

  • Fries or roasted potatoes
  • Coleslaw 🥗

Tip

For extra sticky ribs, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end—but watch closely so the honey doesn’t burn.
