Sweet Potato Pie Perfection

Ingredients

Pie Crust

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Filling

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 2–3 medium potatoes)
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened or melted)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (white or brown)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Cook Sweet Potatoes

  1. Peel and boil sweet potatoes until soft (15–20 minutes).
  2. Drain and mash until smooth. Let cool slightly.

2. Make Filling

  1. Mix mashed sweet potatoes with butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Beat until smooth and creamy.

3. Assemble Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Pour filling into pie crust.
  3. Smooth the top.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes until center is set (slight jiggle is okay).
  • Let cool completely before slicing.

  • Cinnamon sprinkle
  • Caramel drizzle 🍮

Tip

For extra smooth texture, blend the filling instead of mashing—it makes the pie silkier and more “restaurant style.”
