Ingredients
- 12 oz (340 g) elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional Topping
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta
- Boil macaroni according to package directions.
- Add broccoli during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking.
- Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Cheese Sauce
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until smooth.
- Stir in buffalo sauce, garlic powder, cheddar, and mozzarella.
- Cook until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
- Combine
- Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and shredded chicken.
- Stir until everything is coated in the sauce.
- Bake (Optional)
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan; sprinkle on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Tips
- Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Add crumbled Blue Cheese for a classic buffalo-wing flavor.
- Adjust the buffalo sauce amount to make it milder or spicier.
