Ingredients
- 450 g ribeye or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 slices provolone or cheese sauce
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- Salt & black pepper
Instructions
1. Cook the Vegetables
- Heat oil in a skillet.
- Sauté onions (and peppers if using) until soft and caramelized.
- Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the Steak
- Add steak to the hot skillet.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Cook quickly over high heat until browned.
3. Melt the Cheese
- Return onions to the pan.
- Place cheese over the steak mixture.
- Let melt slightly.
4. Build the Sandwich
- Fill toasted hoagie rolls with cheesy steak mixture.
