Salisbury Steak with Onion Gravy -Don’t LOSE this Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients

For the Salisbury Steaks

  • 1½ lbs ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil or butter for cooking

For the Onion Gravy

  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, diced onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper.
    2. Form into oval patties.
    3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown patties on both sides. Remove and set aside.
    4. In the same skillet, melt butter and cook sliced onions until deeply golden and soft.
    5. Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute.
    6. Slowly whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
    7. Return patties to skillet, cover, and simmer 15–20 minutes until cooked through.

      Serve With

      • Mashed potatoes
      • Buttered noodles
      • Rice
      • Green beans or roasted vegetables
