This Crockpot Garlic Butter Shrimp is an easy, hands-off dish where frozen shrimp slowly soak up rich garlic butter flavor. It’s juicy, tender, and perfect served over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread. Great for busy days when you want something delicious without much effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen raw shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water

Ingredient Notes

  • Frozen shrimp: No need to thaw, but rinse quickly if icy.
  • Butter: Gives rich, silky sauce.
  • Garlic: Fresh garlic is best for strong flavor.
  • Lemon juice: Balances the richness and enhances shrimp taste.

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the crockpot.
  2. Add frozen shrimp directly into the crockpot.
  3. In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and broth.
  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the shrimp.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours or HIGH for 1–1.5 hours, stirring once halfway through if possible.
  6. Cook until shrimp turn pink and opaque (do not overcook).
  7. Stir in chopped parsley before serving.
  8. Serve warm over rice, pasta, or with bread.
