Red Velvet Cheesecake is a rich, eye-catching dessert that combines moist red velvet cake with creamy cheesecake layers. It’s perfect for celebrations, holidays, or anytime you want an impressive dessert.

Red Velvet Cheesecake šŸ˜

Ingredients

For the Red Velvet Cake

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • Red food coloring

For the Cheesecake Layer

  • 450 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 225 g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3–4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the cheesecake layer

Preheat oven to 160°C (325°F).

Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream.

Pour into a lined springform pan.

Bake for about 40–45 minutes.

Cool completely, then chill.

2. Make the red velvet cake

Increase oven to 175°C (350°F).

Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.

In another bowl whisk:

  • Buttermilk
  • Oil
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla
  • Vinegar
  • Red coloring

Combine wet and dry ingredients.

Divide into two cake pans and bake for 25–30 minutes.

Cool completely.

3. Assemble

Place one red velvet cake layer on a plate.

Add chilled cheesecake layer on top.

Cover with second cake layer.

4. Frost the cake

Beat frosting ingredients until fluffy.

Spread frosting over the entire cake.

Decorate with crumbs, berries, or chocolate shavings if desired.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled with:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Coffee
  • Hot chocolate
