Warm, cheesy, and packed with salty olives, this Savory Olive Cheese Loaf is perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish. It’s soft on the inside with a golden crust and delicious Mediterranean-inspired flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced green or black olives
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, and garlic powder.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and olive oil until combined.

Step 4: Combine

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in cheese and olives.

Step 5: Fill the Pan

Spread batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 6: Bake

Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 7: Cool and Serve

Allow the loaf to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
