Baked Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter

Tender, juicy lobster tails baked with rich garlic butter and finished with lemon for an elegant restaurant-style meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster Tails

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut down the top center of each shell lengthwise.
  3. Gently pull lobster meat upward and rest it on top of the shell while keeping the end attached.
  4. Place tails on a baking sheet.

Make the Garlic Butter

  1. In a bowl, combine:
    • melted butter
    • garlic
    • lemon juice
    • paprika
    • salt
    • pepper
  2. Spoon generously over lobster meat.

Bake

  • Bake for 10–15 minutes, depending on size, until meat is opaque and tender.
  • Internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).

Finish & Serve

  1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  2. Serve with lemon wedges and extra melted butter.

  • Rice pilaf
  • Caesar salad
  • Buttered pasta

Tips

  • Avoid overcooking or lobster can become rubbery.
  • Broil for the last 1–2 minutes for extra color.
  • Fresh garlic and lemon make the flavor shine.
