Chocolate Cake
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)
- Ingredients listed on box
Chocolate Frosting
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Crunch Layer
- 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 cup crispy rice cereal or crushed wafers
Ganache Drizzle (Optional)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
1. Bake the Cake
Prepare cake according to package directions in two round pans or a 9×13 pan. Cool completely.
2. Make the Crunch
Mix cookie crumbs, melted butter, and crispy rice cereal until crumbly.
