Egg Salad Sandwich

A creamy, flavorful egg salad served between soft slices of bread — simple, classic comfort food perfect for lunch.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tbsp finely diced celery
  • 1 tbsp finely diced onion
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish (optional)
  • 8 slices bread
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop hard-boiled eggs.
  2. In a bowl, combine:
    • mayonnaise
    • mustard
    • relish
    • celery
    • onion
  3. Stir in chopped eggs.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread egg salad onto bread slices.
  6. Add lettuce if desired and top with remaining bread.
  7. Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Chopped bacon
  • Fresh dill
  • Chives
  • Avocado
  • Hot sauce

Tips

  • Slightly mash some of the eggs for a creamier texture.
  • Chill the egg salad before serving for best flavor.
  • Croissants or toasted bread make delicious variations.
