Garlic Shrimp & Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water

Optional for serving:

  • Rice or noodles
  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce
    • Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, honey, black pepper, and water.
  2. Cook the broccoli
    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan or wok.
    • Stir fry broccoli for 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
    • Remove from pan.
  3. Cook the shrimp
    • Add remaining oil.
    • Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink.
    • Add garlic and chili flakes; cook 30 seconds.
  4. Combine
    • Return broccoli to the pan.
    • Pour in sauce and toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until coated.
  5. Serve
    • Top with sesame seeds or green onions.
    • Serve over rice or noodles.

Quick Tips

  • Don’t overcook shrimp — they become rubbery fast.
  • For extra sauce, double the sauce ingredients.
  • Add carrots, snap peas, or bell peppers for more vegetables.

Ready in about 20 minutes.
