Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

Tender, flaky fish fillets cooked in a rich garlic lemon butter sauce — quick, fresh, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 white fish fillets (tilapia, cod, haddock, or snapper)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour (optional, for light crust)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat fish fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with:
    • salt
    • pepper
    • paprika
    • garlic powder
  3. Lightly dredge in flour if desired.
  4. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook fish for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
    Remove and keep warm.
  6. Lower heat and add remaining butter and garlic.
  7. Cook garlic about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Stir in:
    • lemon juice
    • lemon zest
    • parsley
  9. Spoon sauce over fish and serve immediately.
