Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan.

Step 2: Make the Red Velvet Batter

In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, mix sugar, oil, egg, buttermilk, vanilla, food coloring, and vinegar. Combine with dry ingredients until smooth.

Pour batter into the prepared pan.

Step 3: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer

Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and sour cream.

Pour cheesecake batter over the red velvet layer carefully.

Step 4: Bake

Bake for 65–70 minutes, or until the center is mostly set with a slight jiggle.

Step 5: Cool and Chill

Allow cheesecake to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 6: Decorate and Serve

Top with whipped cream, cake crumbs, or white chocolate shavings before slicing.
