Ingredients
Seafood
- 2 lobster tails
- 1 lb sea scallops
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Garlic Herb Butter
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tsp chopped chives
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
Prepare the Lobster
- Using kitchen shears, cut the top of lobster shells lengthwise.
- Gently pull meat upward and rest it on top of the shell.
- Pat dry and season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear the Scallops
- Pat scallops very dry with paper towels.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear scallops for 2–3 minutes per side until golden crust forms.
- Remove and keep warm.
Cook the Lobster
- In the same skillet, add lobster tails shell-side down.
- Cover and cook for 4–6 minutes, flipping once, until opaque.
Make the Garlic Herb Butter
- Reduce heat to medium-low.
- Add butter and garlic to skillet.
- Cook about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in:
- lemon juice
- lemon zest
- parsley
- chives
- thyme
- Spoon butter sauce over lobster and scallops.
