Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1¼ cups warm water

Garlic Butter

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Optional

  • Mozzarella or parmesan cheese
  • Chili flakes
  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Pour in warm water.
  3. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Cover the bowl and let rise for 1–2 hours until doubled.

2. Prepare the Garlic Butter

  1. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Set aside.

3. Shape the Bread

  1. Lightly flour your hands and surface.
  2. Gently shape dough into a loaf or round ball.
  3. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray.

4. Add Flavor

  1. Brush generously with garlic butter.
  2. Sprinkle cheese or herbs on top if desired.
  3. Make a few shallow cuts on the surface.

5. Bake

  • Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
