Ingredients (Serves 6)
Meatloaf
- 2 lb (900 g) ground beef (80–85% lean)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Glaze
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, milk, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Mix gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
- Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Spread the remaining glaze on top and continue baking for 15–20 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
