This famous Brazilian-style “Catch a Husband Cake” is rich, creamy, and incredibly easy to make. It’s made in a blender with condensed milk, coconut, and a silky texture somewhere between cake and custard.
Ingredients
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk or whole milk (use the condensed milk can to measure)
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp baking powder

- Sweetened shredded coconut
- Powdered sugar
- Condensed milk drizzle
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a round or bundt cake pan.
2. Blend the Batter
- Add condensed milk, milk, coconut milk, eggs, butter, and sugar to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add flour and shredded coconut.
- Pulse briefly until combined.
- Stir in baking powder last.
3. Bake
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes until golden and set in the center.
4. Cool & Finish
- Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
- Top with shredded coconut or a drizzle of condensed milk if desired.
