Fancy spam 🤤 sweet, salty and crunchy🍽️

Spam gets a serious upgrade in this sweet, salty, crispy recipe. Golden caramelized edges, sticky glaze, and crunchy texture make it ridiculously addictive.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Spam, sliced into cubes or strips
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions, sliced

Optional Crunch

  • Crushed fried onions
  • Toasted breadcrumbs
  • Crispy rice topping

Instructions

1. Crisp the Spam

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry Spam until deeply golden and crispy on all sides.

2. Make the Glaze

  1. Lower heat slightly.
  2. Add garlic, soy sauce, and brown sugar or honey.
  3. Toss Spam until coated in a sticky glaze.

3. Add Crunch

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and crispy toppings while hot.

4. Serve

Best served with:

  • Steamed rice
  • Fried eggs
  • Noodles
  • Lettuce wraps
