Ingredients
Cheesecake Center
- 450 g cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
White Cake Layers
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1¾ cups sugar
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coconut Pecan Topping
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- ½ cup butter
- 1½ cups shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
1. Make the Cheesecake Layer
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Pour into a greased cake pan.
- Bake at 160°C (325°F) for 35–40 minutes.
- Cool completely and chill.
2. Prepare the White Cake
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg whites gradually.
- Alternate dry ingredients with milk.
- Stir in vanilla.
3. Bake the Cake Layers
- Divide batter between two greased cake pans.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
4. Make the Coconut Pecan Topping
- In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, egg yolks, and butter.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Stir in coconut, pecans, and vanilla.
- Cool slightly.
