Crockpot Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3–4 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14–15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef
    In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Layer in the crockpot
    Add cabbage, uncooked rice, cooked beef mixture, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
  3. Stir well
    Mix everything evenly so the rice cooks properly.
  4. Cook

    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours

    The cabbage should be tender and the rice fully cooked.

  5. Serve
    Spoon into bowls and enjoy hot.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Shredded cheese on top before serving
  • Red pepper flakes for heat
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Tips

  • If the mixture thickens too much, stir in extra broth near the end.
  • Brown rice may need extra cooking time and more liquid.
  • Freezes well for meal prep.
