Ingredients
For the Steaks
- 1½ pounds ground beef
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Onion Gravy
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Make the Beef Patties
In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Shape into oval patties.
2. Brown the Steaks
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Onions
In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced onions.
