Classic Southern Fried Pork Chops šŸ”„šŸ”„

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt

Egg Wash

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk or buttermilk

For frying

  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Season the pork chops

Pat pork chops dry.

Season both sides with:

  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Cayenne

Let sit for 10–15 minutes.

2. Bread the chops

In one bowl:

  • Mix flour, cornstarch, and seasoning salt

In another bowl:

  • Whisk eggs and milk

Dip pork chops into egg mixture, then coat in flour mixture.

Press coating firmly onto the meat.

3. Fry

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Fry pork chops for:

  • 4–6 minutes per side

depending on thickness.

Cook until golden brown and internal temperature reaches:

4. Rest and serve

Place pork chops on a wire rack or paper towels for a few minutes before serving.
