Garlic Butter Beef Spaghetti in Cheddar Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk or heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

2. Cook the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Base

Add butter to the skillet with the beef. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Create the Cheddar Cream Sauce

Sprinkle flour into the skillet and stir well for 1 minute. Slowly pour in milk or cream while whisking continuously. Simmer until slightly thickened.

Add cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy.

5. Combine

Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss until fully coated. If needed, stir in a little reserved pasta water for a silkier sauce.

6. Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving hot.
