Ribeye steak –

A ribeye is one of the juiciest and most flavorful steak cuts because of its rich marbling.

Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye steak
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Let the steak sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Pat dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a heavy pan until very hot.
  4. Add oil and place steak in the pan.
  5. Cook:
    • 3–4 min per side = medium-rare
    • 4–5 min per side = medium
  6. Add butter, garlic, and herbs.
  7. Spoon melted butter over the steak for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Rest the steak 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Serve With

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Roasted vegetables
  • Garlic butter mushrooms
  • Fries or salad

Steak Doneness Guide

  • Rare: cool red center
  • Medium-rare: warm red center
  • Medium: pink center
  • Well-done: little/no pink

For best flavor, use a cast-iron pan and avoid overcrowding the pan.
