Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour cake pan(s).
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, mixing gently.
  6. Fold in strawberry puree until fully combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan(s) and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cake cool completely before frosting.
  10. For frosting, beat butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and strawberry puree.
  11. Spread frosting over cooled cake and decorate with fresh strawberries.
  12. Slice and serve.
