These Delicious Brown Sugar Chops are juicy, tender, and packed with sweet and savory flavor. Coated in a rich brown sugar glaze with simple seasonings, they make an easy and comforting dinner the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Ingredient Notes

  • Bone-in pork chops stay extra juicy while cooking.
  • Light or dark brown sugar both work well.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  2. Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear pork chops for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Place chops in a baking dish if using the oven.
  7. Spread the brown sugar mixture evenly over each chop.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the pork reaches a safe internal temperature.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
