Ingredients
Base
- 1 ready-made pie crust or pizza dough
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Meat Layer
- 250–300g ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp ketchup or pizza sauce
Pizza Layer
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
- Sliced pepperoni or cooked chicken (optional)
- Sliced bell peppers or mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook the Beef
- Heat pan and cook onion until soft.
- Add garlic and ground beef.
- Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Stir in ketchup or a bit of pizza sauce.
- Cook until browned and set aside.
2. Assemble the Pie
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Place pie crust in a baking dish.
- Add cooked beef as the first layer.
- Spread pizza sauce over it.
- Add cheese and toppings (pepperoni, veggies, etc.).
3. Bake
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until crust is golden.
- Cheese should be bubbly and slightly browned.
- Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
